JOB OBJECTIVE:
The Web Marketer is directly responsible for prospecting new clients and managing and maintaining those accounts as part of the direct sales team. However; this is NOT a slash and burn outside sales position and there will be NO COLD CALLING! This individual will be an experienced salesperson ideally with a background in Sales Engineering or Financial Consulting. We are looking for an energetic or young self-starter who is proactive in driving revenue, increasing his or her client base and providing small to medium sized businesses with the right blend of marketing consultancy. You must be results-driven and committed to creating new business opportunities in a dynamic marketplace. Building high-level relationships with all potential clients will be expected through social networking and constant email exchange and instant messaging.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Functions below may be performed from home office:
1. Prospect small to medium businesses through email blasts and single, personalized emails without using SPAM techniques or being flagged as junkmail. 2. Communicate results of Free Analyses and Ranking Reports to leads that fill out the form on our website. 3. Develop, with SEO and Web teams, ongoing improvements to the process of prospecting, qualifying and closing key accounts. 4. Work with SEO technicians to effectively manage accounts, delivering superior customer service while maintaining and growing account services. 5. Work without direct supervision.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
1. Must ideally have some knowledge of Web / online media sales or must previously have held a position as either a Sales Engineer or Financial Consultant. 2. EITHER a Proven sales track record in financial consulting or sales engineering OR no sales experience, but a thorough understanding of the relationship / consultative sales model and approach. If the latter; must be familiar with David Lill’s “Selling: The Profession,” Bill Bachrach’s “Values Based Selling,” and anything by Tom Hopkins or Zig Zigler. 3. Strong knowledge of Google and Social Media/Social Networking/Bookmarking websites like Twitter. 4. Experience in converting Microsoft Word documents to Adobe .pdf format and formatting emails through Outlook without using links or images. 5. Ability to work without direction and follow training materials without supervision. 6. Must be proficient with Windows Vista, Outlook 2007, Word 2007, Excel 2007 or 2003, Firefox, Myspace, Facebook, Linkedin, and a major third party email provider such as Gmail. 7. Prefer a candidate who also has some knowledge of Dreamweaver and Wordpress.
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
A.S. /B.A OR Experienced in the consultative / relationship sales model and knowledge in Dreamweaver and W3C recommendations.
COMPENSATION:
100% Commission based for the first three months or 90 days. One medium package sale per month will amount to approximately $18,000 per year. After 90 days, the base salary ranges between 45K - $110K based upon performance. Typical high performers can expect to earn $150K with commission per year. Due to the high end nature of the services we provide, the commission structure is non-negotiable. Commissions are paid as soon as the payment clears with a minimum of three days between checks.
DETAILED DUTIES:
The Web Marketer will perform all duties required in a typical sales engineering position. Web Marketer will be required to maintain a computer with internet access at all times, a cellular (mobile) or VOIP phone, Windows XP or Vista, Microsoft Office 2007 Professional for Windows or Office 2008 for Mac, Adobe Acrobat, and any other computer programs or software as required by the position. Web Marketer may access internet anywhere such as WiFi Hotspots. Company will provide all necessary software and computer programs as required as well as marketing collateral such as business cards and brochures, but retains the option to provide a computer or internet access. Web Marketer must respond to emails within 24 hours of receipt unless extenuating circumstances shall arise. The majority of work performed will be proffering Search Engine Partner’s services to small business across the US, Canada, Australia, the UK, and Israel, while utilizing the tools provided by Company to aid in this process such as keyword tools to find websites under a search engine’s results page and WHOIS lookup tools to find the corresponding email addresses for those websites. An example of a WHOIS lookup tool is domaintools.com and networksolutions.com/whois/index.jsp. Web Marketer will abide by company policies, for example, providing service proposals in .pdf format only and using current versions of proposals. Company will send Web Marketer’s prospective clients’ website ranking and analysis reports and solicitation materials. Company will provide prospects with answers to technical questions. Once a prospect is converted to a client, Web Marketer will act as a liaison in coordinating and relaying any concerns the client may have to the Company.
DETAILED COMPENSATION:
100% Commission based for the first three (3) months or 90 days, at which time Company reserves the option to either hire Contractor as Employee with a base salary replacing commissions, or extend the commission structure in B, below, until expiration of this agreement, unless terminated by either party. A. Employment: A base salary will be paid to Employee incrementally as follows: If Contractor refers between three (3) and four 4) new prospects who are successfully converted to clients per month, Company shall hire Contractor as an employee and pay a salary of $45,000 per year, for the services of the Employee, payable at regular payroll periods. If Contractor refers between five (5) and six (6) new prospects who are successfully converted to clients per month, Company shall hire Contractor as an employee and pay a salary of $65,000 per year, for the services of the Employee, payable at regular payroll periods. If Contractor refers between seven (7) and nine (9) new prospects who are successfully converted to clients per month, Company shall hire Contractor as an employee and pay a salary of $85,000 per year, for the services of the Employee, payable at regular payroll periods. If Contractor refers more than ten (10) new prospects who are successfully converted to clients per month, Company shall hire Contractor as an employee and pay a salary of $110,000 per year, for the services of the Employee, payable at regular payroll periods. Employment is intended to compensate Contractor for servicing clients referred to Company in the respect of Account Executive. If Web Marketer does not meet the above requirements and is no longer eligible to be employed by Company, the Commission structure below shall continue and control until this agreement is terminated. B. Commissions: Commissions are paid as soon as the payment from client clears with a minimum of three (3) days between checks. Commission structure is as follows: 50% breakeven point profit split on all products or services sold in favor of Web Marketer or 25% of the total price, whichever is greater. Web Marketer will retain commissions on packages that are refunded by company at the direct fault of Company.
